Josh Brasted is an internationally published freelance photographer native to New Orleans, where he began his career shooting then up-and-coming acts like Trombone Shorty, Big Freedia and G-Eazy in many of the city’s clubs. While an integral part of American music history, the clubs rarely offered great lighting, so the experience allowed him to hone his low light photography skills. Josh has since become a go-to resource to help entertainers, celebrities and PR professionals enhance their brands in New Orleans and beyond. He’s contributed photos to local publications NOLA.com | The Times Picayune, Offbeat magazine, Eater NOLA and The New Orleans Advocate. Nationally, his work has been seen in Vogue, USA Today, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, National Geographic, The New York Times and Food & Wine.

Currently, Josh is a staff photographer creating marketing and sponsorship imagery for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, CMA Fest, Portland Cocktail Week and Camp Runamok. He’s also a contributing photographer for Getty Images Entertainment and News divisions.

Josh is available for film and TV stills, commercial, editorial, studio and corporate event work. Whether you’re looking to have professional courtesy art for your band, building a recap deck for your million dollar brand activation or ready to create lifestyle imagery for your new product, Josh is here to make that happen.
